ALL NEW WINTER YOUTH CAMP!!
Can't wait until summer to come to Camp Luther? Why wait? On January 2-4, Camp Luther will be hosting its first ever Winter Youth Camp. This event is just like summer camp, only shorter, colder and no bugs! During their time at Camp Luther, campers will enjoy downhill tubing, broomball, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, giant bonfires on the lake and great Bible studies and devotions by our staff.
Quilt Auction Blessings!
Camp Luther’s first quilt auction Saturday, July 26 was a success in many ways! 295 quilts were donated from ladies & church groups resulting in proceeds of $17,000! We wish to thank everyone who participated and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for helping to make this event such a success! All proceeds benefit the Campership Annual Fund and Camp Luther Campership Endowment, providing financial assistance to families in sending their children to camp. Mark your calendars for next year’s auction—July 25, 2009!
$35,000 Available for Camp through Thrivent Challenge
Camp Luther has received a $35,000 Challenge Grant from Thrivent Financial For Lutherans, as part of the foundation’s Lutheran Grant Program “designed to help Lutheran institutions and organizations take advantage of unique growth and service opportunities.” The challenge is entitled 1,000 New Partners in Ministry and is to add 1,000 new donors to our rolls before the end of 2008!
